Why I do this.
I teach leaders how to add real value. But this isn’t just business for me it’s personal. Here’s my story.

Meet Dr. Marcus
At fourteen years old, the surgeon asked me a question:
"How much of this do you want to know?"
I looked at him and said, "Tell me everything."
"He looked back and said, "We are going to cut you from ear to ear, pull your skin forward, remove your eyes, and carve out a piece of your skull. It's the only solution for the disease you have, fibrous dysplasia. If we don't do this, you will go blind. You will die."
When you face death at a young age, life looks significantly different. I made a promise to myself that day: if I made it through this, my life would mean something. I would add value. If I were given more years to live, I would not waste them.
At 18 years old, I knew what I wanted to do. I could make the most significant difference by training leaders. I also knew I wasnt ready to coach or lead, I had to pay my dues.
For the next twenty years, I walked the path of a Leader, entrepreneur, and executive.
I know what it is like to launch, run, and lead companies to success, and what it is like to fail my employees.
I know what it is like to hear my CPA say, "Congratulations, you're a multimillionaire," only to look down and wonder where it all went.
I know what it is like to bring three beautiful daughters into this world, and to wake in the night to my wife's scream, thinking we lost a baby.
I know the high of leading people to victory, and the ache of failing them as their leader.
I understand the sense of accomplishment that comes with earning a Doctorate Degree, but I felt a twinge of failure when I told my five-year-old daughter. She replied, "I'm so happy, Daddy. Maybe now you'll have time to play with me."
I understand what it's like to have answers when others seek them, and I know what it feels like to have nothing left to give.
I understand the thrill of leading people to victory and the pain of failing them as their leader.
It isn't the companies I've founded, the books I've written, or my Doctorate Degree in Business and Leadership, which I believe qualify me as one of the top leadership coaches in the world.
It's my combined experience of over 20 years of leading people, along with the academic depth of a Doctorate in Business and Leadership, that make my approach both battle-tested and academically sound.
